Due to the current situation of Pandemic, the Mosaic Festival gives way to the Mosaic Fest- a digital version of the annual Event.
The Mosaic Festival is an invitation to personal creativity within the Heritage, through the discovery and dialogue with the Roman past and with one of its most surprising cultural expressions – the Mosaic creative universe.
For greater safety, the Mosaic Fest uses digital media to provide various creative activities and access to different cultural content associated with them.
A stimulating encounter around Heritage and Creativity
The digital tools developed specifically for the Mosaic Festival 2020, by MosaicoLab, aim to allow remote participation of communities from different regions of the country and Europe.
The “Festa do Mosaico” presents itself as a cultural and creative meeting open to visitors to the archaeological sites involved and to those interested in the Roman mosaic heritage present in the Sites of the “Rota do Mosaico – Conímbriga e Sicó”. The “Festa do Mosaico 2020” is an event created by the “Rota do Mosaico – Conímbriga e Sicó”, a Thematic Creative Tourism Destination that promotes culture and the “creative person” through stimulating public involvement with the Roman mosaic Heritage present in the axis constituted by the “Monographic Museum of Conímbriga – National Museum” and the “Roman Ruins of Conímbriga – National Monument”, by the “Roman Villa of Rabaçal” and by the “Monumental Complex of Santiago da Guarda”.
